Hello all! Our Saturday morning shout-outs highlight a post/article/book/other that I’ve come across lately that deserves exactly that: a ‘shout-out.’ The goal here is to hopefully introduce my readers to other authors or bloggers that have had an impact on me, my writing, and my life.

This week’s shout-out is: 7 Reasons to drive cheap used cars in your 20s by Damn Millennial (who has an awesome domain name, btw).

With the other personal finance bloggers I follow, it’s not hard to see articles with similar titles coming out every so often, but I’ve seen that it pays to dive under the surface. Here, DM covers some financial benefits of driving ‘cheap used cars,’ no doubt. But what stood out to me was his push to focus on your mentality. To not see driving a ‘beater’ as a detriment, rather a badge of honor. Also, DM taught me a phrase that I didn’t know before, but I will now promise to steal in some future post (Big hat, no cattle). He makes a great point that your mindset can make all the difference when it comes to saving money and building wealth, and I think the deeper point to this post is that the benefits of a great mindset don’t stop there… Not even close. This one is definitely worth the read.

Thanks for reading!
