Our Saturday morning shout-outs highlight a post/article/book/other that I’ve come across lately that deserves exactly that: a ‘shout-out.’ The goal here is to hopefully introduce my readers to other authors or bloggers that have had an impact on me, my writing, and my life.
This week’s shout-out is: 10 Signs You Have An Exceptionally Good Boss (Jessica Kay via The Financial Diet)
As we’ve worked to get our family business off the ground, I’ve been seeing bosses from multiple angles. I have one at my day job and I am one at night and on the weekends… It’s kind of been a meta experience to this point and ultimately I think it’s helped me a metric ton on both ends (although I still have a long ways to go…). I’m seeing things my boss does well and applying them to our team, alternatively – I’m seeing things our employees do well and trying to incorporate those in my day job.
This post opened my eyes a bit further. I think you can read posts like this from both lenses as well. If you’re a boss – take notice and make improvements, if you’re an employee – check out how your fearless leader stacks up. If they’re not quite 100% I’m not saying abandon ship (there are other techniques to help in that situation), but it’s good to know what makes a boss effective and ‘good’ – no matter your position. Check this post out and see for yourself!
Thanks for reading!
