Our Saturday morning shout-outs highlight a post/article/book/other that I’ve come across lately that deserves exactly that: a ‘shout-out.’ The goal here is to hopefully introduce my readers to other authors or bloggers that have had an impact on me, my writing, and my life.


This week’s shout-out is: 10 Ways to Make Life Simple and Sane Again (Andy’s 10 New Things) by Brent Truitt via Life Zemplified



First of all, this was just a fun story to read. It is well written and really pulled me in the more I read. So there’s that… But more than that, there’s a great message conveyed in this post that details a life’s transformation. From a more sedentary, indulgent, and less healthy path to a life of purpose and intentionality.


Big hurdles or turning points in life have that effect on many of us. You’re faced with a decision at that proverbial fork in the road: retreat inward and take the easy road – or – dare to venture out on the path less traveled. And in doing so perhaps determine what it is that you actually value and hold dear in life. That kind of experience can be monumental. This is one of those experiences.
