Hello all! Our Saturday morning shout-outs highlight a post/article/book/other that I’ve come across lately that deserves exactly that: a ‘shout-out.’ The goal here is to hopefully introduce my readers to other authors or bloggers that have had an impact on me, my writing, and my life.
This week’s shout-out is: 7 Health Benefits of Red Wine by Elizabeth Beasley via Healthgrades
Alright. Here’s the deal and I’m not ashamed to admit it. I enjoy myself a nice glass of red. What’s more? I like to read about potential health benefits associated with that occasional glass. I am well aware that research tends to see-saw on whether food and drink items like red wine are healthy or detrimental. But here we find ourselves back atop the “it’s way healthy” mountain. So I’ll drink it up… (The good news, that is)
How does red wine help lend to a healthier life, you ask? Well, there’s the typical fighting off diseases, correcting cholesterol, and lowering blood sugar. But it was the remaining factors that really tipped it over the top for me this time. I was most interested in Beasley’s Item #7… I’ll have Dr. Monica’s (my beautiful and amazing wife – the dentist) retort next week. But for now – Cheers!!
