Our Saturday morning shout-outs highlight a post/article/book/other that I’ve come across lately that deserves exactly that: a ‘shout-out.’ The goal here is to hopefully introduce my readers to other authors or bloggers that have had an impact on me, my writing, and my life.
This week’s shout-out is: Why You’re Not Stupid If You Purchase A New Car by Michael Dinich at Your Money Geek
Well, if you’re a regular reader, you know that we recently purchased a new car. And during my research leading up to that decision, I came across this article from Michael. I was surprised to see the headline, as a starter, but then as I dove further into the facts of the article, I was pretty surprised with the current auto market.
For so long I had subscribed to the “Never buy a new car” philosophy because of all the facts that I knew as true a decade ago… They lose value the moment you drive them off the lot, higher insurance, depreciation at a ridiculous rate, bad financing, etc… But – as things tend to do – the climate has shifted in this past decade, and if you’re interested in learning more about those updated facts, Michael’s article is a great place to start!
Thanks for reading!
